We are currently assisting a government department to fill various digital capability roles from the APS5 to EL1 levels.

The broader APS Digital Capability program aims to unlock the untapped potential within the APS to accelerate the digital transformation agenda, by providing the APS with the knowledge and confidence to grow an agile and digital culture.

This program includes a package of initiatives in partnership with the Digital Transformation Agency (DTA):
  • The training marketplace will present new opportunities for industry and academia to deliver leading-edge digital training to the APS, with confidence that it is quality assured and meets APS learning needs.
  • The initiative to increase the ability of government departments to attract digital talent will provide recruiters with guidance on how to select digital specialists.
  • The talent retention and mentoring initiative will involve the development of a strategy to retain digital talent by offering career path planning, development opportunities, digital communities and mentoring.
  • An APS digital leadership program will be developed to help executives create an environment that enables digital and innovative thinking to be successful within organisations.
Our client is looking to fill positions within the following:
  • Learning analysis and design team: Responsible for researching and developing learning design standards for the Digital Marketplace that illustrate how different aspects of APS digital capability need to be developed
  • Digital talent team: Responsible for developing and implementing short and long-term strategies to attract digital capability to the APS, including an assessment methodology and a roster for short-term digital opportunities, and the development of career pathways for digital roles in government
  • Digital leadership team:  Responsible for designing, developing and delivering a digital transformation leadership program.

Whilst it is their preference for these roles to be based in Canberra on a full time basis, other options including flexible working arrangement may be considered.

Qualifications and experience in learning and development, education and HR is highly desirable.
