Business Analyst - Multiple Opportunities!


An opportunity has arrived for skilled and experienced Business Analysts to engage in a long term contract based in Canberra for a government department. In this role you will work with business stakeholders to develop requirements for both simple and complex ICT projects and maintain adequate records to validate compliance with approved management planning as specified in an Official Order. You will need a current TSPV security clearance!

 
  • Must be an Australian citizen with a TSPV clearance or have held one in the last 12 months
  • Competitive contract rate based on a full-time schedule
  • Long-term contract with possible extension options 


Responsibilities of the role include:
  • Perform stakeholder interviews to understand current processes and gather new requirements.  Facilitate business process re-engineering.
  • Produce project definition and project initiation documents that clearly define the scope and project objectives.
  • Produce detailed business requirements, functional requirements and non-functional requirements.
  • Develop test scenarios and plans to ensure that the requirements have been satisfied.
  • Elicit, document and prioritise high level and detailed requirements.


To be successful You will be able to:
  • Understand the distinction between business, functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Demonstrated business analysis experience with respect to ICT Service Management processes.
  • Proven experience in the successful development of functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and document project risks and issues in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
