Description of duties;
  • Responsible for developing an organisational innovation model to assist the thinking and maturity of innovation capability.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of an appropriate engagement model across the business to ensure innovative thinking and planning is applied appropriately.
  • Develop and implement a clear set of principles for various innovation streams across the business, including Business Improvement, R&D and I.T.
  • Develop the core innovation drivers, measure these and ensure focus areas are agreed with the Executive team and plans executed to improve outcome in these key areas.
  • Develop different approaches to improving the core drivers of innovation, from idealisation session's through to networking externally.
  • Benchmark and evolve the innovation model.
  • Develop the business case for innovations, seeking appropriate approvals and ensure they are executed in line with the business improvement framework.
  • Facilitate workshops with cross functional teams so that a broad & diverse range of opinions are heard and considered.
  • Source and then analyse large / complex amounts of data and information to draw sound conclusions and guide decision making.
  • Responsible from idealisation through to full business case development.
  • Improve core innovation drivers metrics.
 
Experience sought;
  • Degree level qualification in business, commerce or related discipline
  • 7+ years' experience implementing business improvement projects in a medium to large organisation
  • 5+ years' knowledge of contemporary Business Improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean Six Sigma)
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
  • Working knowledge of Change Management (e.g. ADKAR) and Project Management (Prince2, PMP, etc.) methodologies
  • Financial and commercial acumen with an advanced understanding of Profit & Loss accounts, Balance sheets and cash flow statements
