My Government client is seeking an experienced Change Communications Manager to assist with the implementation of a major sector reform.
The Change Communications Manager is responsible for the delivery of an effective communications program to support change and ensure stakeholders remain aligned with the strategic objective of the reform.
 
Responsibilities of the Change Communications Manager will include:
 
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications program addressing both the needs of internal and external stakeholders affected by the reform program.
  • Manage the day to day operational aspects of the change communications for the program.
  • Effectively coordinate cross-agency communications resources and activities, as required, to ensure they achieve program objectives within established timeframes and plans.
  • Support high level engagement with stakeholders so that program linkages, risks and interdependencies are widely known/understood and effectively managed.
  • Draft change communications material and effectively leverage communication channels for both internal and external stakeholders.
 
The ideal candidate will have the following capabilities and experience:
 
  • Understanding of change management methodology and proven communication experience in change, transformation or reform projects/programs.
  • Demonstrated experience applying change communication management best practices to effectively support implementation of complex change programs
  • Demonstrated interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills with extensive experience engaging and influencing key stakeholders
  • Demonstrated expertise in communications strategy, planning, creation and delivery
  • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal, including presentation/workshop delivery
  • Advanced knowledge and experience of Microsoft packages, including PowerPoint, Word and Excel
