Primary Purpose of the role
 
Commercial Contracts Manager develops, refines and implements contract and procurement management processes and strategies for the organisation and Marketplace and manages changes over the life of the contracts to ensure the delivery of the performance outcomes requirements of the contracts.  Plans and manages procurement processes for new and existing contracts ensuring NSW government maximizes value.
 
Key Responsibilities
 
  • Lead the development, refinement and implementation of procurement processes and strategies and provide direction in the management of strategic and transactional aspects of the procurement and contract management process to ensure organisational objectives are met
  • Lead the management of evaluating supplier performance in line with the performance outcomes of the contracts including compliance with agreed performance KPIs/SLAs to ensure that contracts are consistent with government priorities and NSW government data reforms
  • Provide accurate, expert and timely advice, information and reports on the strategic and transactional aspects of procurement and commercial management to highlight any trends, forecasts or risks that require management intervention and/or strategic solutions for further action
  • Contribute to commercial engagements including tenders, evaluations, and supplier negotiations to ensure that service contracts reflect strategic ICT outcomes and short to medium planning requirements.
  • Manage and develop direct reports to ensure they are engaged and competent to deliver services that meet stakeholder expectations.
  • Keeping abreast of current and emerging best practice, Government policy and statutory requirements.
