Talent International is working in partnership with a large government organisation to assist in sourcing an experienced "Compliance Officer' responsible to assess matters of varying complexity, determine liability, generate assessments and/or prepare submissions for other actions. 
Key Responsibilities

* Provide legislative and procedural advice to clients to ensure they comply with State tax obligations. 
* Access and extract information from other agency databases to determine taxpayer liability. 
* Undertake research, investigations and desk-based audits as required. 
* Perform data matching and other analytical processes to identify possible compliance cases. 

Required Skills 

* Experience in the property conveyancing industry would be highly advantageous. 
* Ability to administer State tax legislation (Duties) or to develop same in short period. 
* Exercise of tact, discretion, and professionalism when dealing with taxpayers or their representatives. 
* Ability to work both independently and as part of a team to achieve goals, targets and meet KPI'
