A large government department is seeking a highly skilled, experienced and talented individual to engage in a long term contract position in Canberra as a Cyber Security Architect. This role comes with possible extension options for the right candidate, and a highly competitive rate.


 
 
  • Australian citizenship and HIGH-LEVEL security clearance needed

The Ideal Candidate Will Bring To The Role:
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge and experience in developing solutions with complex multi-layered architecture using various sets of technologies and utilising existing sets of frameworks across multiple heterogeneous computer systems
  • Highly developed design skills in planning security systems by evaluating network and security technologies including local area networks (LANs), virtual private networks (VPNs), wide area networks (WANs), Routers, firewalls, and related security and network devices.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver defined security architecture outcomes, including reuse, duplication, identification, security, optimisation, scalability, maintainability, develop best practices reliability and reduce operational complexity
  • Plan and design cryptographic systems, public key infrastructures (PKIs), including use of certification authorities (CAs) and digital signatures as well as hardware and software.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver business solutions within agreed time, cost and quality expectations.
  • Solid experience in writing position papers, solution overviews, policies, and application design documents
  • Willingness and ability to advance identity and access management systems, cloud computing, mobility and remote access systems along with endpoint intrusion detection and prevention methodologies
  • Take solution concepts and design artefacts through multiple external and internal communities and architecture review group bodies in order to obtain formal sign-off
  • Highly developed leadership and communication skills and ability to engage with senior stakeholders, particularly in relation to provision reports, identification of risks, issues and tasks dependencies.
  • Foster ICT  and business stakeholder relationships within a challenging environment
