Are you passionate about Data, and have experience setting up a data governance framework? 

My client is a well respected Sydney based Professional Services firm who are looking to bring on board a Data Governance and Information Manager.

Your role will be responsible for improving the overall level of information management across the business, and ensuring all data custodians are able to use the data in the best possible way.

This role would suit someone who has set up a Data Governance framework from scratch.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Define a data governance framework for the business
  • Implement guidelines, processes and technology to ensure data is being used successfully
  • Ensure data custodians are carrying out good information practices, and are using the data correctly
  • Provide management information when required
  • Help the business develop self-service, operational reporting capabilities
  • Drive a cultural change within the business around information management and data
  • Take responsibilities for best practice in Data Governance and thought leadership
  • Engage and encourage data custodians to see the benefits of data governance
  • Design and develop new reports which will allow the company to demonstrate their value proposition
  • Help to identify and manage all risks
  • Business Intelligence reporting
  •  Maintenance of a high level information model for the organisation
  • Develop procedures around appropriate information usage
  • Management reporting
Skills required:
  • Strong background in Information Management or Data Governance
  • Experience working with Senior stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
  • Ability to translate technical information to non-technical people
  • Strong database management skills
  • Strong statistical understanding - can interpret and understand reports an graphs
  • Excellent management reporting skills
  • Experience with Tableau is highly desirable
  • Team player
  • Highly organised
