We are currently looking for a Decommissioning Coordinator for a large government organisation based on Brisbane Northside for a 10 month contract. You will be responsible for the coordinating the decommissioning of the existing Voice Switch Capability at major sites that has been superseded by a different program. You will be involved in:
  • Finalisation of support artefacts from Acquisition into sustainment
  • Coordination of decommission reviews, WHS, Operational Safety and Environment
  • Development of decommissioning documents
  • Work packages for the disposal and redeployment of existing equipment
  • Delivery of decommissioning certificate
  • Support Project Closure

  • Project Manage the decommissioning phase of VCS Ph1.
  • Lead a team and be accountable for the oversight of vendors and internal work packages for the decommissioning of site hardware and logistics data used for current support arrangements
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project plans
  • Deliver to specification (agreed scope, detailed requirements, time, cost and quality)
  • Track project progress and provide accurate and timely reports on project status
  • Identify and report risks and opportunities
  • Provide regular and timely project reporting to the VCS Project Manager including advice, recommendation, management of issues and risks, and management of project priorities and interdependencies for decommissioning
  • Ensure all organisational governance requirements, management policies and standards are adhered to in the execution of the project
  • Ensure there is a continuous focus on project objectives and the realisation of anticipated service outcomes and benefits
  • Must be Australian Citizen
  • Project management qualifications, with supporting experience
  • Diversity of experience across the Civil and Defence sectors is desirable
  • Demonstrated sound judgement and business acumen, with a focus on results in a service delivery environment
  • Demonstrated ability to close projects in a complex environment
  • Demonstrated values-based leadership, and ability to build organisational capability and culture
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and present innovative solutions and influence outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain relationships to facilitate partnerships and cooperation​
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
