Talent International is working in partnership with a large government organisation to assist in sourcing an experienced Desktop Support Officer reports to the Support Team Leader and provides quality first and second level technical support for hardware, software, print devices, and mobile devices and other supported systems and infrastructure.
The position will provide technical support within a Microsoft enterprise environment. The position will also assist with the replacement of Desktop PC's, printers and approved accessories including the unpacking and assetting of new hardware, applying an SOE and additional applications, installing new hardware at the desktop and preparing old hardware for disposal. This position is required to perform regular manual handling tasks.

The position may be required to answer phone calls in the Helpdesk for system support, troubleshooting and providing information to users, as well as logging the calls from time to time.

Experience Required
  • Proven experience providing quality technical support in a substantial IT environment.
  • Must have proven help desk experience providing support over the phone.
  • Proven experience supporting Microsoft operating systems including Windows 10.
  • Proven experience using PC imaging and software deployment software, preferably Microsoft SCCM.
  • The successful applicant must have a current and valid Australian driver's license.
  • Relevant Tertiary and technical qualifications and/or significant equivalent experience in service delivery in an IT environment.
