About 
Our client is an award winning digital agency that is looking for a DevOps Engineer for an initial 7-month contract with strong potential to extend and convert into a permanent role. 

Key responsibilities:
Work on the client side with the Ops team. Reports to the DevOps Lead.
  • Implement designed changes across all phases of the SDLC
  • Implement designed changes in the deployment pipelines across multiple environments
  • Provide support during operations such as deployments and general production testing
  • Provide technical support and manage tasks from multiple agile teams
  • Support the QA team with processes, frameworks and toolsets that champion automated testing
  • Perform root cause analysis for environment and application issues
  • Identify and perform analysis to provide recommendations for improvements
  • Contribute to the planning and coordination of infrastructure / environment updates
  • Contribute to the definition of best practice DevOps standards
  • Collaborate with developers to make sure new environments meet requirements and conform to defined standards
  • Builds strong interpersonal relationships with key people across clients, partners and staff
  • Champions a vibrant and diverse engineering culture through internal presentations and knowledge transfer
Key attributes:
  • Ability to identify, document and implement systems development best practices to drive efficiency and improvement across multiple teams.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the web: protocols, web architectures, infrastructure, web servers (IIS), proxies, load balancing, high availability, etc.
  • Strong understanding of modern patterns and practices: unit testing, inversion of control, repository, MVC, etc.
  • Strong understanding of deployment pipelines including continuous integration and continuous delivery.
  • Experience with Azure and AWS.
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks and methodologies, enabling you to support the QA team with appropriate testing processes, frameworks and toolsets.
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • 3 to 5 years' experience, including 1 to 2 years' experience working with one or more CMS packages
