Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, the role of "Section Manager -Architecture Design and Planning Services' is responsible for providing enterprise architecture, digital and technology design capability and services to meet the needs of the organisation.

Key accountabilities
  • Lead the development and maintain an Enterprise Architecture (EA) framework and appropriate artefacts that integrates, stimulates and supports the business model, business architectures and operating model. Drive the adoption of the EA approach in the organisation.
  • Lead the development of strategic IT and digitally enabled product and service roadmaps.
  • Work with the Section Manager, Business Engagement Services on understanding and quantifying information and business requirements into data, process, business systems and technology requirements.
  • Maintain oversight of organisational business and technology architectures, developing appropriate reference architecture to facilitate streamlining solutions.
  • Identify issues, risks and improvement opportunities in the current architecture model and approaches.
  • Establish and maintain new ICT tools and processes that enable EA compliance across the supply and demand functions.
  • Optimise business outcomes through initiating and developing long-term goals and plans to guide the work of the team in line with organisational objectives.
 
Key Experience:
 
  • Previous experience in a similar role working in a large organisation.
  • Proven success as a leader with the ability to grow and develop teams focused on quality outcomes and a customer focus.
  • Proven experience leading the development and maintenance of an Enterprise Architecture (EA) framework and appropriate artifacts that integrates, stimulates and supports an organisation's business model, business architectures and operating model.
  • Demonstrated experience leading the development of strategic IT and digitally enabled product and service roadmaps
  • Previous experience working with business and functional specialists on understanding and quantifying information and business requirements into data, process, business systems and technology requirements.
     
 
Qualifications

Essential
 
  • Degree qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Management, Engineering or a related field, OR demonstrated solid contemporary experience in a similar role, combined with ongoing professional development.
 
Desirable
 
  • Post Graduate qualifications.
  • Working knowledge of recognised architecture standards, e.g. TOGAF or other industry-specific standard, Applied Business Architecture.
