About the Role

The Enterprise Security Architect plays a central role in the design of the agency's ICT enterprise security capability, as well as associated ICT security solutions and ICT security components. He/she is also responsible for the development, maintenance and implementation of ICT Security strategy and the agency's security design patterns.
Working with a range of internal and external stakeholders, the security architect will provide advice and expertise on security risk assessments and security management strategies. They will also provide assurance that ICT solutions adequately mitigate identified risks.
Ideally the Security Architect will possess tertiary qualifications in information technology or a related field and significant experience ICT security design and assurance.This role may require Domestic Travel.

Key Deliverables
  • Producing ICT security strategy, current state, future state ICT security architecture and transition plans for the agency harmonised with partner agencies' strategies and leveraging technology trends.
  • Overseeing security architecture compliance 
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to incorporate government security policy and practices 
  • Obtaining, and acting on, vulnerability information and assisting with security risk assessments, business impact analysis and the accreditation of complex information systems.
  • Oversights and assists with the implementation of ICT security controls.
  • Oversights and assists with designing and developing both high level and detailed security solution architecture covering software, information and infrastructure.
  • Contributing to the development of information security policy, standards and guidelines.
