About the Role

A small government-affiliated agency is seeking a skilled professional to work as part of the internal team responsible for building digital capability. The team is looking at different and innovative ways to uplift digital capability. The team is responsible for delivering a suite of products designed to help attract, develop and retain digital talent.

The primary function of this role is to assist in the coordination and delivery of two high profile events; the digital summit and digital awards events. This is a senior role and will also involve high level stakeholder engagement, management and negotiation with service providers and may involve secretariat and procurement duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning the event/s agenda
  • Engaging speakers and thought leaders
  • Working with the venue on exhibition designs
  • Obtaining exhibitors
  • Working in collaboration with our event partner
  • Managing the event coordination contract

About You
  • As a specialist in your field you will have exceptional organisational abilities and be able to communicate with a range of stakeholders. Ideally you will have Federal Government experience and the ability manage competing priorities and ad hoc duties as needed.
  • This role is ideal for a senior event professional looking for a contract through to the end of the year; for the successful candidate, flexible working hours are an option in this role. You will have the opportunity to showcase your skills and develop an event for high level officials.
