Operating in a global IT environment you will be thought leader and strategic advisor responsible for aligning technology efforts across multiple business divisions. You will manage the development and maintenance of plans that can be used by all to guide and monitor execution in support of all management decisions.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Engage with the business to understand their needs and ensure the delivery strategy/plan meets these needs and enables the business benefits.
  • Ensure effective resource management is undertaken so that Divisions are resourced with the required expertise (internal or external).
  • Establish a workforce strategy for ongoing development and continuous improvement of Divisional capability.
  • Manage the demand and supply for IT, including providing relevant input into any investment decisions.
  • Facilitate prioritisation of projects across IT as aligned with enterprise-wide strategic priorities.
  • Manages the impending demands from the business, by anticipating the implications on the existing IT portfolio and providing insight to the decision makers.
  • Forward plans, prioritises and schedules work requests.
  • Maintain awareness of future business requirements and their impact on financial and resource demand.
  • Provides input into the submissions for budget requests.

Skills and Qualifications required:
  • IT Strategy and Planning, Information Systems Coordination, IT Management, Financial Management, Resource Management / Workforce Planning and Relationship Management
  • Leadership capability as a potential successor to the Head of Business Partner, with relevant leadership presence
  • Experience in a global strategy and planning role within a large enterprise   
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in an IT related discipline
  • Prefer post-graduate qualification in addition, e.g. MBA
  • Excellent presentation skills at Senior Executive and Board level
  • Demonstrated experience in financials and benefits management in a similar size organisation including investment management and business case development
  • Transformation leadership experience especially in driving the necessary cultural change to comply with the standards and policies set
