About the Role

Our client, a large government organisation based in Canberra requires a skilled and experienced Graphic Designer to be a member of an information team, reporting to an agency director. Your role will encompass a collaborative mindset, you will be required to work as a team to develop and execute communication strategies and plans that increase understanding and inspire action from stakeholders.

Duties and Deliverables
  • Contribute to the development and execution of communication strategies and plans that increase understanding and inspire action by our stakeholders.
  • Translate communication briefs through concept and creative development to written and visual production, across a variety of mediums.
  • Develop engaging business presentations across multiple mediums to meet various user or audience needs including print, digital and video.
  • Provide storytelling excellence through compelling and creative business writing, supporting a variety of stakeholders from brands to senior leaders.
  • Support website content updates, effectively manage digital assets, and support procurement of material from suppliers.
  • Develop and adopt appropriate brand standards and design language across templates, documents and presentations.
  • Perform other duties from time to time, especially to provide "surge' support during times of crisis.

Essential Skill Requirements 
  • Demonstrated business and creative writing ability, including concepts development from initial ideas.
  • Ability to take complex information and make it simple, digestible and beautiful in a visual form.
  • Design hard copy brochures and posters in a range of sizes and materials.
  • Create social media graphics, infographics, GIFs, animations, and videos using a range of tools including Canva and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to create briefs, storyboards, and scripts.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
  • Self-motivated and highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
