Reporting to HR Lead Business PartnerPrimary PurposeThe HR Business Leadership Partner is responsible for partnering with one or more business leadership team/s to implement and/or deploy HR strategies to meet business objectives through improved leader and employee performance and productivity.  The HR Business Leadership Partner supports the development and delivery of a highly engaged workforce and the implementation of specific local people initiatives.  The role includes strategic advice and support to the respective senior management team members with a strong focus on the critical areas of workforce planning, leadership development, talent management, change management and business improvement.  It provides strategic advice to integrate business planning and strategy with cost effective HR planning and regular performance planning and review.  This role works in a team environment and has organisation-wide responsibility and oversight.
Selection Criteria
  • A seasoned HR professional with acknowledged high credibility levels with business managers and proven capacity to impact on behaviours and practices including:
    • Proven ability to work with a business while maintaining consistency and integrity with corporate, legislative and government goals
    • Proven experience in managing cultural change and the people impacts of major change programs
    • Proven ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality, discretion and judgement while maintaining a strong customer service approach
  • Well developed internal consulting skills with strong business acumen, well developed analytical thinking and problem solving abilities
  • Self motivated individual who displays a "can-do' proactive style and desire to provide excellent service to clients
  • A strong strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into pragmatic actions, requirements in policy documents and to be actively involved in implementation.
  • Strong evidence of capacity to quickly understand and work within the boundaries of a range of industrial awards and agreements
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills with ability to deal effectively with people at all levels.
  • Capacity to operate both independently, using initiative and self direction, and as a team member to produce consistently high quality work.
  • A team player with a flexible, adaptable and results orientated approach and the confidence to constructively challenge the status quo including a willingness and desire to use metrics to identify risks to the business and to show areas of potential improvement.
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field, or equivalent experience.
