We are currently looking for an ICT Sourcing and Procurement Specialist for a large government department based in Carseldine, Brisbane. This is an initial 8 month contract with a chance of extension.

  • Develop procurement strategies and documentation including procurement plans
  • Develop and review specifications and Invitation to Offer (ITO) documentation
  • Develop QITC (GITC) contracts, agreeing essential components with key stakeholders ensuring the needs and objectives of the department are reflected in the contracts;
  • Undertake negotiation planning and negotiation of high value and high risk ICT contracts;
  • Maintain a good working knowledge of Queensland Procurement Policy, QITC, Contract Law and other legislative issues relating to ICT contracts.
  • Apply innovative thinking to procurement strategy development to support business outcomes while operating within the constraints of Whole of Government and departmental procurement frameworks.
  • Ensure processes in support of tender and contract dealings are honest, ethical and equitable in accordance with the probity standards.
  • Act as Probity Officer as necessary.
  • Facilitate the assessment of procurement risk as an independent authority in relation to strategic ICT Project procurement.
  • Develop where required, evaluation plans in line with defined requirements in consultation with key stakeholders.
  • Develop, document and implement negotiation strategies in preparation for contract negotiation where required and make recommendations on the use of professional negotiators where appropriate.
  • Administer the go to market and evaluation process on behalf of the department ensuring probity requirements are met.
  • 5 + years experience in a similar role in an ICT procurement environment
  • Demonstrated experience and working knowledge of Queensland Procurement Policy, QITC (GITC), Contract Law and other legislative issues relating to ICT contracts.
  • Willingness to travel may be required.
