Primary Purpose
The Continuous Improvement & Innovation Manager will lead and drive the evolution of continuous improvement / innovation capabilities within the organisation, across all operational units.

Key Accountabilities
  • Lead the Continuous Improvement and Innovation role within the NSW Business Performance Directorate, providing continuous service improvement support and advice to the business
  • Responsible for developing an organisational innovation model to assist the thinking and maturity of  innovation capability
  • Head up the support for innovation across the operational teams within Identify an appropriate engagement model across the business to ensure innovative thinking and planning is applied appropriately
  • Coach, advise, direct, monitor and report on business units service improvement best practices and improvements to processes and practices; using innovative methods to managing the expected performance, benefits and value
  • Manage the evaluation, review, business process improvement methods and implement value added change of Operational models
  • Report on current and forecast programs, projects and budget achievements to recognise value adding opportunities and value for money strategies
  • Build and maintain effective, and influential, working relationships across the NSW system and associated organisations
  • Develop, implement and maintain effective communication processes to ensure Continuous Improvement & Innovation information is disseminated throughout the organisation in an effective and timely manner
  • Provide leadership and direction to staff in the Continuous Improvement & Innovation team and effectively manage operational issues to ensure continuous effective service delivery and a performance based, innovative, responsive and accountable customer focused work culture
  • Ensure a highly professional, performance based, innovative, responsive and accountable customer service culture within Continuous Improvement & Innovation
  • To role model strong, effective management that is based on the organisation's values, driving operational priorities, achieving performance and meeting all legislative and policy requirements
  • Maintain current knowledge of contemporary trends and developments across NSW's service offering, while relentlessly pursuing improvement opportunities
Experience in NSW public sector is highly desirable but not mandatory.
