Primary purpose of the role

The Senior Organisational Development Consultant partners with managers, executives and staff to provide strategic and expert advice and solutions regarding organisational development initiatives and practices to help clients build capability to achieve people management, change and business improvement outcomes.
Key accountabilities
  •  Partner with the business to deliver strategies and programs to build and support individual, team and organisational capability, drive cultural change and increase staff engagement.
  •  Provide managers and staff with expert professional and pragmatic advice and support in the identification and implementation of organisational development and learning strategies to support business performance.
  •  Manage multifaceted OD projects, including coordinating project team participation, ensuring successful completion of outcomes within time, resource and budget parameters.
  • Design and deliver organisation wide learning and organisational development solutions in areas such as leadership, performance development, workforce capability, talent and succession, employee engagement and culture.
  • Source, evaluate and broker internal and external service providers to meet whole of Department and individual clients business needs. Manage procurement processes, negotiate contracts and monitor service delivery.
  • Establish and manage diversity and inclusion programs and networks to support the Department's Diversity and Inclusion Strategy.
  • Research and analyse emerging themes and trends in contemporary HR and OD best practice and make recommendations on fit for purpose solutions.
  • Collaborate across People, Learning and Culture and act as subject matter expert across Branch and Department in projects to improve end to end strategic HR service delivery.
Essential requirements
  • Needs to be fast and accurate
  • Quiz knowledge and experience to make changes on the Intranet
  • Excellent writing skills to write Accountability Statements/Smart Goals, proof reading and rebranding
  • HR background
  • Solid understanding of adult learning principles re the production of user support documentation
  • Fast and accurate updating and rebranding of support resources for the organisation's Performance & Development Plan process
  • Competent proof reading
  • Squiz trained to enable updates and uploads to the intranet.
