A government department requires the services of experienced IT Project Manager on an initial contract through until June 2019. The department is currently undertaking a significant transformation of its external website presence, transitioning to GovCMS. and including new architecture and content rewrite.

The Project is underway, a beta site is live, and a replacement Project Manager is required to continue the work.

The Role
  • Lead IT the project, with planning and delivery based on robust business cases and in partnership within the departments business areas.
  • Lead, motivate and manage team members, setting behavioural expectations and activities.
  • Knowledge transfer to core team and staff to build internal capability.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with technical professionals, project team members and stakeholders. Assist project board members to implement decisions that focus on addressing risks to delivery.
  • Ensure the successful adoption of project deliverables by the people that will use them.
  • Establish and manage project procedures and controls, and manage the production of outputs and artefacts through the project lifecycle to meet expected business outcomes, schedules, costs and quality criteria.
  • Identify and manage changes to projects in accordance with established processes and standards, and manage information flows across projects.
  • Establish and implement communications strategies and plans to ensure stakeholders are regularly informed of project developments, progress and issues; and
  • Plan and deliver the project using an Agile product development approach.

 
The Successful candidate will:
