Currently looking for an IT Assistant/Network Administrator who loves to see things work, the role will involve IT Assistant/Network Administrator which will be a critical component ongoing, more so now than ever as the client has recently moved into a state of the art operational complex in Mulgrave.

We are looking for someone who loves working at a fast pace, someone who has hands on experience with networking, Windows Servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and other Server Services. Prior experience managing Office365 tenant would be advantageous.

This role will see administering the network infrastructure and providing support to our team members and end users for the application and technical projects.

This role reports to the Chief Technology Officer.
  • Administration and support for our network including switching, routing and firewall network technologies.
  • Support configure and maintain our corporate office network and firewall (nationally)
  • Plan, design, install and integrate new hardware, infrastructure and applications, wherever required.
  • Maintain office network with most current required OS and application updates.
  • Support and administer companywide VOIP Phone Systems
  • Set up user accounts, permissions and passwords.
  • Attend to and resolve problems reported by end users.
  • Liaise with service providers for any upgrades, problem tickets and resolution requirements.
  • Assist the Chief Technology Officer and all technology teams where required within skill set.
Skills and Experience:
  • At least 1-year experience in a Network Administrator role.
  • Hands On experience with networking, Windows Servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and other Server Services.
  • Familiarity with Backup and Recovery methodologies.
  • Experience with IIS and deployments would be an added advantage.
  • Self-driven but also team player who can prioritize and multitask day-to-day work.
  • Willingness to go the extra mile to problem solve and research to find root cause of issues with networks or desktops.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Outstanding attention to detail and organisational skills
