Our client is an award winning global leader in the design, manufacture and assembly of conveyance solutions technology. Based in the busy hub of Campbellfield they run a global Information Technology Services Department and locally they are looking to insource this function.

To ensure their ongoing success our Client is seeking an IT Systems Administrator who will report to the global IT Service Desk Manager. Although there is global support you will be self-managed and largely autonomous here in the APAC region.

Full training on all of the company systems will be provided on an exciting 3-4 week induction at the company's Head Office in New Orleans. You can also look forward to 1-2 overseas trips a year to the Japan, China or Indian operations to learn more about the business. The APAC team is relatively lean with about 35+ people so we are looking for someone who will be happy to build a career as the onsite support and face of IT here in Victoria.

The primary responsibilities for this position include effective operation, maintenance and support of hardware, software, network and related infrastructure for the Asia-Pacific based employees. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for technical break/fix support of all IT systems
  • Responsible for the deployment of all business user IT systems, hardware and software
  • Responsible for server patch management
  • Interface and maintain effective communication with business users and other global IT team members (US, Netherlands, and China based) when resolving incidents and fulfilling requests
  • Identify proactive ways to reduce the number of incidents in the environment
  • Participate in IT Projects to ensure understanding of new and upgraded systems
  • Assist with managing regional vendor relationships, and contract renewals
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field; or relevant experience
  • Minimum 4 years of proven IT and customer service work experience
  • Strong competency and interest in Information Technology. Our Client is a Windows Server environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize assigned work according to business need and priorities
  • Strong analytical skills; ability to perform root cause analysis
  • Self-managed; ability to work well alone and in a global team environment 
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to interface with all levels
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Ability to work to US time zone for maintenance or project work as required. This could include evenings and weekends, as needed. In most cases this will be planned. 
  • ITIL Foundation, MCSA: Windows 10, and/or CCNA
