We are currently seeking a Level 1&2 IT Support technician for our client, a large operator of retirement villages, nursing homes and community care, based in Narrabeen. This is a permanent role, with periodic travel around NSW required.
 
You will be part of a small, existing, multi-skilled team providing:
  • 1st level support of incidents and requests relating to a diverse variety of applications, infrastructure, services and devices used by corporate employees and contractors.
  • 2nd level platform administration (including system administration, platform maintenance, IT incident troubleshooting) for a set of core vendor applications underpinning operations for the 3 main areas of operations (retirement villages, nursing homes and community care).
Training will be provided in the relevant 3rd party applications, however, it is expected that you will have had demonstrable prior experience in similar responsibilities for other organisations and that you also have sound practical experience with the following platforms;
  • Microsoft Windows Server 2008 r2 and above (basic administration)
  • Microsoft Windows 7 and above (intermediate administration)
  • Microsoft Exchange Server (basic administration)
  • Microsoft Active Directory (user and permissions management)
  • VMWare, Citrix and MS Terminal Services (basic administration and provisioning tasks)
To be considered for this role candidates will also have the following:
  • Prior experience in delivering support on both a per-incident and more broadly a project basis, with proven time management and process discipline.
  • Prior practical experience working in an ITIL-align support team
  • Sound prior experience of end user computing on-site support to a varied array of audiences (executives and below)
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills, with prior experience creating guides, technical manuals and presentations.
  • A relevant certification in the IT industry and at least 3 years prior industry experience
  • A valid NSW drivers licence
