Channel Sales Lead // Telco

Our client is a household name in Australia and are present in close to 30 countries with over 8,000 employees. Due to an exciting new partner focussed strategy they are now looking for a Lead Channel Manager to join and help build their partner ecosystem from the ground up. Because this is a "build from scratch' position, we are looking for someone with deep channel and telco knowledge, experience within a large Telco previously is definitely a plus!

Sourcing, developing, on-boarding and managing new partners as well as building processes from scratch, liaising across risk, compliance and legal departments in a large matrix driven organisation will all be a part of this role. Due to the varied nature of this position we are looking for people with a "can do attitude' who are willing to put in the groundwork to build out a brand new ecosystem within a well-established business, this is not your average channel role.

Key Requirements:
  • Strong channel experience in Telco
  • Solid knowledge of voice, mobile and data customer networks as well as wireless access technologies
  • An understanding of risk and compliance and how it relates to the on boarding of new partners is crucial
  • Technical/consulting background and experience
  • Solid communication and presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Highly driven and results focussed with a proven history of working in a proactive and persistent manner
  • A "can do attitude' no task is too big or hard for you
  • A self-starter, you are resourceful and innovative
  • Proactive in the establishment of professional relationships internally as well as across external customers
Nice to have:
  • Degree level business qualifications (Telecommunications or IT are preferred)
  • Experience with IT infrastructure (hosted, cloud and premise based)
  • Substantial experience in a direct/indirect sales role
