About the Role
The purpose of the Manager Solution and System Delivery position is to provide leadership, management, coordination and direction in the delivery and development (including packaging of release) of all change to the business critical technology platforms, as well as maintain the existing application landscape.

What You'll Do
  • Complete structured team/project planning including scheduling, resourcing, and communication/engagement, ensuring sufficient preparation to achieve required outcomes and alignment with broader organisational objectives.
  • Deliver allocated projects and operational objectives, managing and mitigating risks, monitoring progress, and effectively engaging resources to achieve required outcomes within agreed budget and timeframes.
  • Regularly coach and mentor Solutions and Systems team members, supporting individuals to solve problems, create readiness for change and build capability.
  • Proactively build and maintain effective relationships, working constructively across the division and more broadly to efficiently achieve required business outcomes within agreed timeframes.
  • Lead change within the Solutions and Systems team to deliver a constructive culture, encouraging the embedding of constructive behaviours (e.g. achievement, self-actualisation, humanistic/encouragement, affiliative approach) in the team's dealings with colleagues, and internal and external stakeholders.
  • Follow and role-model key management processes (recruitment, performance management, safety, etc) ensuring the Solutions and Systems team completes associated actions in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Monitor and role-model organisational safety practices and demonstrate personal engagement with safety, proactively ensuring risks are identified and mitigation strategies are implemented to continuously improve safety performance.
  • Lead and drive the appropriate use of development methodologies to build solutions based on requirements and designs. This includes facilitating collaboration with IT Operations to ensure they are involved in the delivery process.
  • Monitor project delivery to ensure changes are being developed in line with release plans and with the release policy. This includes managing and assigning development resources to projects, and managing sign-offs by Change Owners at the correct stage.
  • Develop the service transition policy and procedures to ensure that changes are fit for purpose and change delivery teams are being appropriately resourced and supported. This includes managing changes to the production environment to ensure they are fit for purpose, ready to be supported and undertaken in a controlled manner with minimal impact on service.
  • Monitor the post-completion review and quality assurance processes to ensure initiatives are completed and solutions are delivered to compliance standards. This includes evaluation to ensure that a new / changed service meets availability, performance, capacity, service continuity and security requirements.
  • Work across all IT teams to develop innovative solutions that align with Business IT Strategy.
  • Lead and drive the smooth running and maintenance of the application landscape in line with SLAs agreed with the business.
  • Plan and manage releases in line with business requirements spanning across several projects / products if required.
  • Undertake additional roles and lead projects as directed by your General Manager
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex enterprise systems and technical environment or platforms (e.g. SAP).
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, mature and embed IT service management work practices in an applications service support environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop, lead and manage high performing, multi-disciplinary IT teams or workgroups.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex organisational change efforts.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop structured team/project plans (including scheduling, resourcing and communication/engagement) to ensure preparation is sufficient to achieve required outcomes and planning is aligned with broader organisational objectives.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver operational objectives and projects, managing and mitigating risks, monitoring progress, and effectively engaging resources to achieve required outcomes within agreed budget and timeframes.
  • Demonstrated ability to follow and role-model key people management processes (recruitment, performance management, safety, etc.) ensuring teams complete associated actions in accordance with policies procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage IT finance including the direct management of significant IT budgets and expenditure would be an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement operation or service level agreements with IT partners and clients would be an advantage.
