Talent International is working in partnership with a large government organisation to assist in sourcing an experienced Network Administrator to administer the day-to-day operation of the network communications infrastructure as well as provide technical advice, to ensure secure, reliable, responsive and personalised ICT services are delivered to clients.

This is a level 3 technical support role, working within a small operations team and collaborating closely with an experienced service desk and other partners, to provide a high-value support service to clients.

Experience Required
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) qualifications or equivalent advanced knowledge of switching, routing and troubleshooting in Cisco enterprise environments.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in network troubleshooting, with key areas of focus being:  Firewall and NAT, 802.1x network authentication, Core enterprise networking protocols, e.g. DNS, DHCP, SMB, NTP, Kerberos, Enterprise applications operating in a secure environment
  • VoIP handset and call flow troubleshooting, Dynamic routing protocols, VPN and mobile technology, Monitoring and logging tools, e.g. Splunk, Cisco Prime, ITIL, particularly the change management area (desirable)
  • Thorough knowledge of network security principles and practices, and demonstrated hands-on experience, that enables the applicant to maintain a network security environment aligned with a defined information security standard.
