Our client based in Brisbane's North are currently looking for a Planning, Benefits and Strategy Analyst to provide high quality analysis, and develop solutions to complex business requirements with a strong emphasis on achieving business benefits.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with managers of key function areas to identify and assess the business problem and/or opportunity and develop the business requirements, and the analysis and documenting of as-is versus to-be business processes and rules to assist with the development of the business case.
  • Define and analyse the sources of and process for (methodologies and tools) gathering the information required to succinctly articulate business requirements; prioritise and test the business relevance of the identified requirements; and develop documentation that details the regulatory, business and user-functionality of the identified requirement.
  • Conduct the business impact analysis and modelling to identify opportunities to improve business processes and the differences between the as-is and to-be states and then develop a benefit realisation plan and the associated measures to assist with the business case development.
  • Ensure business process improvement initiatives are aligned with the business strategy and architectural standards.
  • Contribute to the development of the functional and non-functional specifications for inclusion in market engagement documentation (ROI, RFI, RFT), and/or for work packages where solutions are delivered internally.
  • Contribute to the analysis of the quantifiable business benefits of the proposed solution by providing input to related costs, benefits, risks, and return-on-investment estimates and contribute to post project reviews to assist in realising these benefits.
  • Identify business change requirements and provide support to business change managers to identify and define change initiatives, training needs, and assist in the development of training documentation including user manuals, FAQs, and reference materials.
  • Conduct post implementation benefit realisation assessments to measure the achieved business benefit against plan, and contribute to the development of the project closure report.
Desired candidate profile:
  • Demonstrated experience in the application of a business analysis methodology/framework such as BABOK.
  • Demonstrable skills in analytics and developing business requirements.
  • Demonstrated skills in applying relevant methodologies for identification and conception, business case development and requirements specifications based on business requirements and needs.
  • Proven ability to provide technical advice and guidance to support recommendations for improving and supporting business requirements and needs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in continuous improvement and change management methodology in relation to technology projects.
  • Proven understanding of financial, cost-estimates and business principles.
  • Demonstrated skills in process mapping and undertaking gap analysis in the development of business requirements.
  • Proven effective group facilitation and presentation skills.
