Our client is a QLD state government department responsible for a large amount of ICT initiatives and innovations throughout the state of Queensland.  They currently have the requirement for the below role, which will be a 4 week initial contract paying $79.20 per hour inclusive of super. Although the chance of extension is likely, Talent International would like to reaffirm to all potential candidates applying that the rate and duration is currently not negotiable. 

The role
  • Implement, operate and maintain an investment/portfolio management capability by developing the associated tools/process ensure value is created through enterprise planning and decision making for the department
  • Analyse and interpret data to develop insights, observations, recommendations and reports for DSITI governance groups and stakeholders to guide improved outcome delivery relating to the departments ICT investments
  • Prepare and present in depth reports and information for executive management on prioritised demand management, program/project dependencies and constraints that provide valuable input for the investment decision making process.
  • Facilitate and undertake the prioritisation and analysis of new ICT projects to ensure alignment with organizational strategy, maintain an evolving multi-year ICT work plan for the department.
  • Provide a collaboration space(s) to support collaboration within and between working groups and stakeholders to create value, share best practice documentation and improve maturity.
The right candidate will need
  • Have previous experience working on ICT projects as either an Analyst, Project Manager, Support Officer  or Consultant
  • Available to start quickly
  • Knowledge/ Certifications in Prince2
  • Comfortable with the rates and duration on offer
