About the Organisation:
Our client is a statutory authority responsible for developing policies and initiatives that aim to reduce the impact of energy on the environment. As well as administering relevant legislation, our client is responsible for providing education and information on these initiatives, monitoring and enforcing compliance, collecting and analysing data and working with other law enforcement and regulatory bodies.


The role:
We are seeking a Power BI Specialist to assist in developing Power BI reports and dashboards. The resource needs to have experience with Power BI, web services and SQL. Preferably with experience preparing reporting against TFS/Azure DevOps, Tech One and SharePoint.

You will also need experience working in an agile environment and possess high level communication skills.


Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Undertake analysis, interpretation and manipulation of data.
  • Under limited supervision, undertake analysis to produce data products, including reports and dashboards in line with the required standards.
  • Contribute to the identification and implementation of business and systems improvement initiatives.


Skills:
  • Experience in analysis and manipulation of complex data from a range of structured and unstructured sources.
  • Experience in the development of reports or dashboards in Power-BI, Tableau or similar.
  • Experience or knowledge in data science practises and techniques, such as machine learning, data mining, text mining, descriptive analytics, data visualisation and automation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with programming languages, preferably in a data science or analytics context.
  • Use of R or Python for data analysis.
