Are you a Senior Front End Engineer with experience in a SCRUM based team? The team builds and supports 20-25+ digital web assets and 6+ native mobile apps. A household name, the apps receive over 250,000 visits per second at peak so experience in highly available, high transaction digital environments is a must. You'll be joining an Agile team with cross-functional streams and providing tech leadership guidance and support across the growing internal tech team and external partners.    

Our client is seeking a passionate Front-End Developer to join a Distributed Agile team working closely with product managers, designers to ensure the delivery of engaging experiences. Working with 11 different streams you will play an instrumental role to shape our Clients in-house development capabilities.

Key Skills 
  • 7+ Experience in a Senior Front End Engineering role acting as a Technical Lead/Advisor or direct experience as Technical Leader to a small to mid-sized team 5-10+ (preferred)
  • Strong experience in JavaScript, ES6, React, Next(SSR), Node, Express, Redux, React Native
  • Source Control (trunk based development)
  • Exposure to GraphQL is advantageous
  •  Background in designing and architecting high availability web and mobile architecture for a business - experience architecting an overall solution for a business encompassing one or more digital apps
  • Ability to articulate how you have solved a business problem through technology
  • Strong track record in Agile based modern software engineering practices - Agile SCRUM, Kanban, Pair Programming, TDD, BDD, CI/CD and DevOps
  • Experience with high availability, customer-facing digital web and mobile applications (iOS and Android) - native preferred
  • Highly collaborative approach and ability to work with multiple teams and stakeholders including external vendors.
  • Passion for technology and you can demonstrate an understanding of future trends and the latest tech through involvement in conferences (eg YOW, LAST!), Hack Days and meet-ups
