Our client is currently seeking a Private Health Insurance (PHI) Consultant to join their organisation and act as the key interface between internal stakeholders, customers and various industry and government bodies within the Private Health Insurance Industry.

Reporting directly to the Manager, PHI Advice & Advocacy, you will be expected to stay abreast of industry and government changes and trends, pertaining to or impacting PHI. You will be accountable for ensuring the alignment of internal priorities with those specified by the PHI industry, ensuring compliance with PHI legislation of their products and services and advising customers as necessary.

Specifically, you will collect, summarise and disseminate knowledge from a variety of industry forums and mediums within the sector. Recipients of information will range from technical users (Business Analysts, Developers, Test Analysts and Architects) through to senior business representatives from both within and their community of customers.


 
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Representing the company and their Health Funds at PHI Industry meetings, including but not limited to all possible parties PHI related, federal and local government and the company's alliance.
  • Assist in clarifying internal and customer impacts, developing plans to communicate, taking action and follow up.
  • Assist with the coordination of interactions with industry and government for regulatory matters where required.
  • Assist in the development & preparation of various documentation, such as formal papers and Business Requirement Specifications relating to industry changes.
  • Accountability for raising the profile of the client within the industry as being a trusted advisor and strong influencer of positive change for PHI.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
  • PHI industry experience.
  • Knowledge of PHI Industry and related Products and Services.
  • Excellent communication, relationship building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Highly motivated with the ability to interpret and communicate complex information and impacts to a range of audiences.
  • Experience in leading and managing small to medium software development projects (desirable).

They have over 80 professional staff servicing 25 Health Funds nationwide, including the hosting of the application and network services for many of these Health Funds. They utilise the latest agile practices and modern techniques to ensure that they deliver high-quality software to their customers.
