A Problem Manager is being sought to co-ordinate the resolution of problems throughout the Problem Management life cycle and to ensure they are progressed in line with performance targets and resolved where possible. The role is also responsible for monitoring and reporting on the end to end Problem Management process, and co-ordination of the response, resolution and post-incident analysis of major incidents.
Key skills required: 
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and relevant IT service management certifications.
  • Experience performing service management role/s with problem management responsibilities, especially in the government sector.
  • Experiencing assisting and supporting the coordination of problem management processes in a multi-sourced delivery model, with both application and infrastructure teams.
  • Experience conducting post incident reviews for major incidents and ensuring proactive problem management to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Sound knowledge of infrastructure services and technologies including data centre and compute platforms and products, collaboration and productivity suites, network services (voice, mobile, data).
  • Sound knowledge of IT service principles and frameworks including ITIL Version 3 Foundations, ITIL Operation Support and Analysis.  
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to deal tactfully with people at all levels, including senior staff/manager, consultants and vendors
