Our client is a large Melbourne CBD based organisation with an large transformation program underway. With millions of customers, they are introducing industry defining solutions and changing the way they deliver value to their customers.

As the LEAN SDLC Process Leader you will perform a pivotal role in supporting multiple internal customers/manager as a pre-project and LEAN SDLC delivery consultant, working with internal customers, business units, and project teams in the analysis, documentation, and management of LEAN process-centric SDLC requirements throughout the life of their projects. 

You will mentor and coach other Delivery Managers, Digital Specialists and Business Analysts (BAs) in the area of process improvement and optimization as they ensure that requirements are fully understood by the technical team before solutions are designed and implemented. 

The aim of the role will be eliminate wasteful processes and exercises in Digital and Solution Development.

Additionally, you will:
  • Adhere to established SDLC procedures but assist in developing LEAN processes and facilitating innovative process solutions that meet the specified requirements of continuous improvement.
  • Add value to the customers and overall business by eliminating inefficiencies in SDLC processes 
  • Collaborate with the business teams, SMEs and architects to document the project scope, objectives, functional/non-functional, and added value or benefit expectations, using an integrated set of process analysis and applying LEAN principles to SDLC processes.
  • Work with business analysts (BAs) engaged with the internal and external client base, product owners, business stakeholders, and others to use LEAN process-centric requirements
  • Assist BAs during process-centric requirements gathering and analysis to provide high-quality and detailed business requirements, ensuring the closest involvement with, and agreement from, the user community
  • Contribute to the creation of, and provide education on, the creation of business process prototypes and simulations to provide an accurate process representation, thereby facilitating successful solution design and development
  • Contribute to the elaboration of business requirements/needs within an Agile storyboard methodology
  • Work directly with stakeholder teams, representing the business needs in future product roadmap capabilities and release plans
  • Work directly with stakeholders and business teams to groom the backlog requirements for the IT delivery teams, defining LEAN process-centric functional specification (FS) documents
  • Model processes to clarify business requirements, and to enhance or re-engineer business processes, prior to, or in parallel with, solution design and implementation, as necessary
  • Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely delivery and quality of all project deliverables
  • Provide input to the management of BA resources in accordance with project schedules
  • Exhibit confidence and an extensive knowledge of emerging industry practices in the business process management space when solving business problems.
What you'll need to be Successful:
  • More than 5-7 years of experience in deploying LEAN principles and tools to SDLC environments. 
  • You will have extensive experience as a LEAN Six Sigma expert - on SDLC, or Software Delivery Director/Manager or a Project Lead on LEAN SDLC projects with exposure to business analysis, Project Management - LEAN SDLC or SIX Sigma Consultant - SDLC
  • Expert knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile life cycle methodologies; knowledge of the role of process analysis within the SDLC
  • Bachelor's degree, or the equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Detailed knowledge of and experience with LEAN tools and practices
  • Solid leadership, meeting management, and facilitation techniques to lead elicitation workshops and distinguish user requests from needs to determine what is actually required
  • Strong business and IT collaboration skills
  • Ability to build strong working business relationships
  • Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to audiences of different backgrounds, and business concepts to technical audiences
  • Strong analytical, organizational, verbal communication, and business writing skills
This role works closely with a variety of department Leads, Project Managers, Change Manager and non-technical stakeholders.
