Our client is seeking a procurement analyst to join their team. The aim of the team is to work with business units to drive alignment and deliver operational excellence across all Supplier Relationships. 
Your purpose in this role is to provide insights to the procurement team that support good commercial decisions by;
  • Identifying commercial and/or efficiency opportunities to improve the business, work with key stakeholders to get buy in for change.
  • Support delivery of initiatives to ensure good business outcomes are achieved for the client in a timely manner.
  • Monitor and track team performance and ensure that key achievements, risks and work activities are effectively communicated to senior management.
Your skills and experience 
  • 2+ years' experience in an analytical role, either in a procurement or sales support function
  • Sound financial modelling skills. Ideally you will be competent in the use of analytical tools such as Tableau and Alteryx or other data blending and visualisation tools, as well as advanced excel skills.
  • Ability to clearly define the problems that need to be investigated, see beyond the immediate horizon, puts solutions in place that are sustainable for the long term.
  • An understanding of value and cost drivers for the business, maintains an awareness of the internal and external environment, actively seeks out information and uses networks to get things done.
  • A strong sense of curiosity and desire to solve problems by bringing people together to develop well thought out solutions.
  • A sense of urgency to get things done with the ability to balance the timeliness,  quality and cost of outcome
  • Strong organisation skills both for self and others, can manage multiple priorities without getting overwhelmed.
  • Ability to build rapport and establish constructive relationships, be comfortable presenting to groups, is engaging, communicates in a way that captures and holds the attention of others
Desirable skills
  • Understanding of procurement practices and procedures
  • Exposure to SAP and SharePoint.
