  • Procurement Specialist required for initial 6 month contract.
  • FIFO Contract: Paraburdoo
  • SWING: 5 days on, 2 days off and 4 days on, 3 days off 
Our client requires an experienced Procurement Specialist to assist with multiple good and services requirements, ensuring their business priorities are successfully achieved. Acting as the 1st point of contact the Procurement Specialist will manage numerous interactions within the wider business. Superior communication and negotiation skills are a must!

Specific duties include:
  • Drive 'safety' into the contract and procurement processes 
  • Align the Asset priorities with the Global and Regional category sourcing strategies 
  • Contribute to the commercial strategies by considering: local procurement and emerging market opportunities, gain productivity, reduce total cost of ownership, integrate P2P and secure medium to long term supply. 
  • Lead/support the negotiation with key suppliers to ensure maximum benefit. 
  • Management of key supplier's performance. 
  • Identify and monitor any procurement initiatives to ensure minimum impact 
  • Deliver local souring projects with support of the regional sourcing team 
The successful candidate will have: 
  • Minimum Bachelor degree/post graduate qualification in Commerce, Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain or equivalent 
  • Solid procurement/sourcing/contracts processes work experience 
  • Strong commercial acumen and negotiation expertise, coupled with the ability to formulate and present contracts and category strategies 
  • Good communication skills to influence, engage and build strong rapport with key stakeholders 
  • Effective time management skill, the ability to balance multiple and competing priorities 
  • Creative problem solving skills with strong strategic outlook and analytical capabilities
