We are currently seeking a Product Support Officer to work in a multidisciplinary team to support
This involves responding to email and phone requests from clients in the APS and public. You will be required to communicate problems and solutions via our service providers.
Working closely with tech lead, you will be responsible for developing an understanding of in order to more efficiently provide support.

You will also possess the ability to assist in the development and bug-fixing of CKAN and Geoserver, knowledge of the GIS ecosystem, as well as experience working with Agile methodologies and with the Commonwealth Digital Service Standard.

Skills and experiences: 
  • Demonstrate a minimum of 2 years experience in product support.
  • Apply an analytical and systematic approach to triaging, communicating (written and verbally) and resolving client issues in partnership with service providers and clients.
  • Desire to help others with their technical problems, even if trivial or repetitive.
  • Apply a deep technical curiosity and a desire to reduce redundant work and toil via process, code, and documentation improvements.
  • Python, CKAN, Geoserver and/or SQL experience in desirable. 
  • Knowledge of the Relational Database and Geospatial Information Services (GIS) ecosystem is desirable. 

Current Commonwealth Government BASELINE security clearance an advantage, otherwise the ability to obtain one in a timely manner.
