An exciting opportunity exists for a Program Manager to create, lead the delivery and achieve the outcomes of a program of ICT related projects.

Key responsibilities of this role include:
  • Lead the development and implementation of the program plan, on time and on budget, for the prescribed scope within the defined governance framework.
  • Lead the Project Managers and manage external service providers.
  • Facilitate collaboration and partnerships with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead the identification and management of program wide risks, dependencies, resources, finances and issues with Project Managers.
  • Ensure that appropriately skilled resources, both internal and external, with sufficient capacity are allocated across the program to complete assigned tasks.
  • Provide accurate and timely performance reports to key stakeholders.
  • Manage and deliver the program's organisational change plan to enable realisation of program objectives and benefits, including strategies and operational plans for communications, workforce planning and training.
  • Facilitate regular meetings with operational areas to confirm progress.
  • Work within and support the Icon Water environment and culture.
  • Assist in the improvement of Icon Water project processes, documentation and templates.
  • Assist the Project Managers meet AIPM CPPM competencies as outlined in the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) Professional Management Standards for Project Management Part C, version 1.12 February 2010, Certified Practicing Project Manager.
  • Other duties within the employee's skill, competence and training.
The Successful candidate will have:
  • Tertiary qualifications in ICT, project management or similar.
  • Industry recognised program management certification such as Managing Successful Programs (MSP) and/or Program Management Professional (PgMP).
  • Experience with ICT transformational programs.
  • Experience leading teams in uncertain environments faced with competing priorities.
  • Experience in business re-engineering and process design.
  • Knowledge of risk and quality management practices in an ICT project context.
  • Knowledge of the business of a regulated utility, its structure and operations.
