Exciting opportunity to join this evolving PMO. You'll help work with the PMO and managers to improve delivery capability and further develop project delivery frameworks. 
While a background as a project manager would be helpful it's vital for you to be able to demonstrate experience working within a PMO as either a manager or expert focused on delivery, governance and improving results. 

Key accountabilities will include:
  • Provide strategic and tactical advice and guidance to Project Delivery Managers and Project Manager's on portfolio, program and project planning and execution to support and manage the delivery of change initiatives and the day to day operations of the PMO.
  • Define and evolve the PPD Delivery Framework including project and change management standards and processes, reporting, planning, change control, risk and issue management, progress against milestones, forecasting, dependencies, resource plans, cost and budget management. This includes driving the utilisation and adherence to the PPD Delivery Framework.
  • Facilitate the identification and recording of portfolio dependencies, resource constraints, milestones, issues, risks, mitigation actions and resources to deliver specific projects/ programmes.
  • Ensure appropriate on-boarding and knowledge capture and transfer mechanisms are in place to coach and train Project Managers in the use of the PPD Delivery Framework and contemporary project management practices.
  • Collect, consolidate and analyse portfolio and project data to support effective governance and decision making. This includes leading the timely production of portfolio and project reporting in accordance with governance and delivery processes and procedures and the development of key performance indicators.
  • Ensure appropriate support service are in place for the release of budgets, capitalisation of projects, management of purchasing processes, on boarding of human resources, plus other activities related to project delivery.
  • Development and Implementation of appropriate assurance and quality review and management practices to increase the confidence in delivery and the realisation of outcomes and benefits. 

Skills and Experience: 
  • Experienced team leader with the demonstrated capability to inspire and lead a dedicated PMO team focussed on optimizing IT Project/Program delivery.
  • Degree level qualifications preferably majoring in Business, Project Management, or Information Technology or a lesser qualification coupled with significant industry experience in an appropriate discipline.
  • Certifications that relate to program and project delivery, such as: PMP, Prince 2, MSP, P3O, CMMI, Prosci, ITIL.
  • Knowledge of capability maturity models and how to apply them for the purpose of process improvement
  • Knowledge of ITIL service management practices and the relevance and application of the project delivery environment
