Working with this existing team you must be able to demonstrate where you have managed projects relating to the procurement of ICT applications or services. Specifically, you will have managed a project team through the initial requirements  phase, creation of RFP/RFQ, assessment, selection,contracts to the point of implementation. You may have managed all of those aspects within one project or parts across a number of projects.

  • Provide strategic advice to the General Manager on the end-to-end procurement engagement activities enabling an effective appointment of the service provider, including delivery approach and quality of products produced.
  • Oversee the delivery of the key contracted deliverables with the selected service provider, to agreed scope, timeframes, costs, quality and resources.
  • Produce robust project artefacts based on the Departments Project Management methodology.
  • Manage a broad range of stakeholder expectations and requirements.
  • Scope, plan and co-ordinate work packages within an ICT domain.
  • Manage project and work package estimates, budgets, invoicing and resources.
  • Manage multiple work packages and activities against deadlines within a time-critical development environment to ensure that deliverables are prioritised and completed within the specified timeframes.
Your Experience:
  • 8 years' minimum experience in a project management role, managin business critical medium-large sized projects, work packages and activities.
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing and providing strategic advice supporting ICT sourcing activities, and delivery of agreed products through a third-party service provider
  • Demonstrated experience providing timely and strategic advice to Senior Project Executives, with an emphasis on effective risk and issue management practices
  • Demonstrated experience working with Solution Architects to verify that the technical solution meets the identified business outcomes
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and schedule projects using appropriate tools and monitor projects to ensure project deliverables are completed within agreed cost, time and scope, providing regular and accurate reports to stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintains positive relationships with team members, stakeholders and customers, and possess a high degree of interpersonal and negotiation skills, and the ability to work with stakeholders of all levels and styles.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, assess and manage project risks and issues and establish and maintain project registers including risk register, lessons learnt and project logs
  • Demonstrated ability to develop project artefacts including project and stage plans, highlight reports, change requests, and project communication documents, ensuring that realistic and quality project artefacts are prepared and maintained throughout the life of the project.
  • Proven ability to gather information and advice for business and systems analysis, and design so that the systems meet business requirements.
