This government body is focused on delivering a key project relating to the replacement of a core business system. As a part of that process there is a requirement for an additional PM to assist with a review of the current and proposed systems and development of a contingency plan for cutover. Key areas of interest will be planing for potential integration, custom development over the current system and new feature inclusion.

You'll have experience working on COTS and software development projects and be comfortable working with stakeholders across multiple divisions. Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels will be vital.


You will be responsible for:
  • Develop and manage effective relationships with key stakeholders within the business and with other parts of the project team supporting delivery and with third party providers
  • Liaising with relevant stakeholders in the business to ensure delivery against the agreed scope and time-frame.
  • Support the business in the development of business readiness strategies to minimise impact to business as usual activities
  • Lead, develop and manage the team of project specialists to ensure that the outcomes of initiatives are effectively communicated 
  • Lead and coordinate business-wide programs to provide insight into potential improvements to service delivery.
  • Working with internal ICT teams and vendors to establish a clear understanding of current gaps and potential integration
  • Lead and direct project leadership groups to ensure project outcomes are effectively communicated to the business and improvements are effectively implemented into business as usual operations
  • Ensure the project has an end to end view of the key areas of overlap and conflict and an approach to resolve, whilst maintaining a forward looking agenda to address the issues in a structured way
  • Present information that allows the business and project to make informed decisions with an understanding of the impacts
  • Provide expert interdependency management to support the business and project to successfully manage their  dependencies
  • Support the decision making process by ensuring the right people are engaged to provide the appropriate level of information including options and potential impacts to the relevant decision makers
