A hugely successful global SaaS company has just launched their Sydney operations and are looking for a Project Manager to join their close-knit team. They are a leading provider of cloud-based workforce management solutions, and their suite of products enable organisations to automate time and attendance, streamline absence and leave management. They also specialise in optimising staff rostering and gain real-time visibility into labour costs and productivity, and mitigate the risks of employee fatigue.

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all aspect of the assigned projects for the customer in line with the scope of work; delivering implementation of products/software on time, to budget, and within the specified scope. In addition to customer implementation projects, the role may also involve internal projects and initiatives.

As a part of a global team, you will be expected to be able to collaborate globally and across a number of disciplines - supporting different teams and customers.  As this is a client facing role, experience with managing customer expectations is essential, as well as being driven to deliver the best outcome of the project to the customer's satisfaction. You will be required to build strong, open and honest relationship with the customers and communication will include project reviews, and user and technical level communication. 

The Role:
  • You will be responsible for a number of projects as allocated, and to manage each project appropriately relative to the project size, risk and value, as well as driving the process including setting and managing expectations and plans.Deliver projects to budget, timescales and quality.
  • Track and review all resources allocated to the project.
  • Manage teams of developers etc.
  • Manage the financial forecasting and invoicing of projects. In line with company systems and contractual agreements with customers.
  • Promote user and management buy in and overcome resistance to change.
  • Manage communications between teams to ensure effective implementation of product developments.

  • 5+ years' experience leading complex projects - ideally software implementation
  • APM, Prince 2 or other recognised project management qualification or equivalent
  • Experience/Familiarity with Work Force Management processes
  • Familiarity with SaaS and web technologies
  • Experience in working to Waterfall or Agile methodologies as appropriate
  • Confident in stakeholder management
  • Excellent communication skills, relationship building skills, and able to work as a part of a team.
  • Positive, energetic, motivated and tenacious with high standards of customer service.
