Primary Purpose
 The Project Officer is to support by undertaking complex research, analysis and reporting in relation to the development and implementation of appropriate commercial and financing arrangements

Requirements:
 
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or demonstrated equivalent professional experience and demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office software applications.
  • Well-developed communication, and facilitation skills, with the demonstrated ability to deal tactfully and effectively with people at all levels.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, organise and prioritise work to meet deadlines, including developing follow-up systems, collating and analysing information and preparing logical reports.
 
Key Accountabilities:
 
  • Undertake commercial research and analysis, financial modelling, analysis of risk allocation under legal arrangements (e.g. licence agreements, project deeds and design and construction deeds), and analysing traffic forecasts.
  • Prepare briefs and reports arising from the commercial research and analysis undertaken.
  • Ensure requests for the provision of data to internal and external parties are dealt with efficiently in accordance with governance protocols.
  • Assist the management of correspondence, records and the collation of documents.
  • Assist in commercial negotiations with key stakeholders and advisers to achieve best outcomes for government.
  • Provide efficient and effective project management services and are delivered to specified time, cost, quality and scope requirements to meet government and objectives.
  • The ability to build and maintain strong internal and external networks and influence people from a diverse range of technical and other backgrounds.
  • Working across multiple projects, manage competing demands required by internal stakeholders and ensuring timely responses to all action items.
  • Ability to identify and manage risk and deliver project outcomes by developing innovative solutions and seeking additional expertise where necessary.
 
Experience in NSW public sector is highly desirable but not mandatory.
