Project Scheduler
Location: North Parramatta
Duration: 3 to 6 Months Plus Contract

Key accountabilities
 
  • Develop and maintain schedules at project and program level. Responsible for preparation, maintenance and reporting on all aspects related to Project Schedule. Work closely with Program Manager and Project Leads to develop and maintain detailed resource loaded schedules of projects using MS Project.
  • Engage with the project teams to obtain relevant progress data, updating the project schedule as required;
  • Maintain a Master Schedule of work for the DHP; with specific focus on developing a program master plan that incorporates all project schedules. During this process interact with multiple stakeholders to comprehend each project, its schedule & its evolving status. Develop a summary view suitable for executive and steering committee consumption.
  • Produce both Optimistic and Pessimistic schedules with recommendations and reasoning for the most realistic schedule (scenario analysis).
  • Advise on conflicts that impact schedules and work with key stakeholders to remove conflicts.
  • Identifying issues/risks, constraints and interdependencies across the program and with other workstreams in the redevelopment.
  • Ensure that all projects are baselined correctly and at the right time in the project management cycle. Work with PMO, Program and Project Managers to provide reporting on progress and resource utilisation. Perform critical path analysis, variance analysis, trend analysis.
  • Integration of vendor schedules. Monitor the contractor's and Project Teams schedules on a regular basis to ensure the schedules are robust and well- maintained.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of scheduling standards and processes.
 
Essential requirements
 
  • Possess Prince2 or PMI or similar project management certification, with extensive experience in a schedule management or similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying expert schedule management knowledge to effectively lead and undertake complex project scheduling tasks involving multiple integrated schedules, which have critical importance and significant impact on organisational goals and objectives.
  • Experience in scheduling analysis including the ability to assess and critically evaluate the validity of information to prepare reports and briefs for escalation or stakeholder review.
  • Experience in scenario analysis.
  • Expert level user in Microsoft Project Server/Project Online with advanced knowledge of managing Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) and the supporting detailed schedules.
  • Demonstrated experience with a strong track record in scheduling ICT projects using contemporary project management methodologies and producing quality and accurate reports in schedule related project status.
  • Highly experienced user of MS Office toolset (Word, Excel and Power Point).
