Project Support Officer -  Multiple Opportunities!

We are looking for skilled and experienced individuals to engage in a long-term contract position with extension options based in Canberra. This role is with a government department based in the A.C.T and requires a current TSPV security clearance.

  • Must have a current TSPV clearance or have held one in the last 12 months
  • Competitive contract rate based on a full-time work schedule
  • Long-term contract position with possible options to extend!

The Role:

As the Project Support Officer,  you will assist with the delivery of projects. This includes creating and administering project files, compiling and distributing reports as well as general administrative services.  Project support officers are expected to be familiar with a range of project management systems, procedures, processes, tools and techniques.  

In this role You will:
  • Prepare, maintain and utilise systems for the management of the project (e.g. project schedule system, financial systems).
  • Engage with project management personnel and stakeholders to identify project activities, the resources needed to deliver them and coordinate their respective timing and availability.
  • Support the management of key stakeholders' expectations through the life of the project.
  • Resolve resource conflicts and schedule tasks within Intelligence Infrastructure section work plans to provide efficient use of branch personnel.

To be successful You will have:
  • Strong personal commitment to developing professionally recognised project management and or business analysis skills.
  • Proficiency or demonstrated ability to gain proficiency in using Microsoft Project or other project management applications;
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate with relevant stakeholders to achieve business outcomes;
