Talent International is excited to be working in partnership with a nationwide Telecommunications company who is immediately seeking a Reporting Analyst on a 1-year contract, located in Sydney.

In this role, you will drive operational excellence, resilience and customer satisfaction across the business. You will act as an IT Operational Lead, working closely with internal IT operational platform and program delivery teams in support of the business' customers. 

To achieve this you will work closely with Customer Stakeholders to understand operational requirements, resolve issues and ensure a high level of service. The role ensures that work effort and resources are focussed on areas of business priority. Experience dealing with multiple Stakeholders is essential. 

This position may require on-call and extended work hours essential in supporting a 24/7 service offering. 

  • Complete IT capability needs assessment and gap analysis
  • Identification of improvement opportunities and feedback into IT
  • Evaluate performance of key business transactions against performance targets 
  • Identification of risk, issues and operational patterns
  • Co-ordinate remediation activities with platform and program owners
  • Ensure IT Support Systems are in place
  • Input to change, release and test management for impacting activities with a view of determining whether risks have been successfully mitigated prior to implementation
  • Ensure criteria for change is met and Business approval achieved as per obligations
  • Participation in business readiness forums
  • Review change, release and test plans and schedules and provide input
  • Support Customer on-boarding activities
  • Communication of outages, faults, problems and defects
  • Participate in major incident and problem reviews, review change requests etc
  • Provide feedback to Customer reporting and management
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Degree or higher education in sciences, Engineering or IT (commercial degree also desirable)
  • 5+ years IT management experience in leading large matrix cross functional teams
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies
  • Telecoms networks and IT systems experience
  • Knowledge and understanding of architectural practices and artefacts, including data architecture
  • 5+ years of proven experience in alternate delivery approaches from customer and systems integrator perspectives.
  • The ability to make sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems
