The Opportunity
An opportunity now exists to join the security practice in Sydney, with a specific focus across threat intelligence, threat analysis and protection and secure managed networks. The main responsibilities of which will be developing, qualifying and closing opportunities across the Networks and Security portfolio within an assigned (state based) territory in both existing and new accounts. Due to the specialist nature of this role you will work somewhat autonomously to uncover new opportunities for the portfolio whilst leveraging internal experts, consultants and co-ordinating activities with other specialist portfolios.
 
About You
You come with an impressive record of quota achievement/over achievement with at least 7 years experience selling security solutions to the Enterprise. You have a deep knowledge of IT Security and Networks (including Cyber) and are well known/regarded SME in these areas. You are a self-starting hunter with a consulting background, but no stranger to picking up the phone and knocking down doors. Your approach is consultative and the conversations you have with your customers are focussed on business outcomes rather than product features.

Key accountabilities include
  • New business development
  • Identifying, developing and qualifying customer needs
  • CRM maintenance
  • Submitting proposals
  • Managing customer concerns and resolving objections during negotiation
  • Developing strong and influential relationships within target organisations
  • Lead virtual bids team with strategic insights, delegating tasks where appropriate
  • Maintaining key internal relationships ensuring a streamlined provision of services 
Requirements
  • 7-10 years' experience in a security solution sales role, with exemplary quota achievement
  • Intimate understanding of Network architectures and Security considerations in a hybrid IT and Digital Transformation context
  • Existing relationships with Security vendors and suppliers
  • A robust network and strong networking skills
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and confidence
  • Strong strategic and conceptual ability
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and presentation
  • Experience in CRM pipeline management and forecasting
  • Strong understanding of the role IT plays in Digital Transformation
  • Ability to understand customer business drivers including current and strategic objectives and an understanding of their market (i.e. competitors, market developments, etc.)
  • Experience liaising with vendor key vendor partners
  • Australian CITIZEN - you must be able to obtain NV1 security clearance.
