About the Organisation
Our client is a large Australian government department that provides various forms of development policy advice to all government agencies and departments. This organisation works with other government agencies to ensure that Australia's pursuit of its IT and security interests are coordinated effectively and collaboratively.

About the Role
This position is required to work as a part of a team and provide complex technical support for the organisation's ICT messaging systems, based on the MS Exchange platform (on premise and online) and also support for a wide range of other messaging systems such as Teams, Skype for business, Titus and IBM Notes. They would also provide expert advice to developers and project managers as required and mentor junior staff. They are also responsible for a range of initiatives, which are critical to the implementation of major change programs such as the version upgrades, dispersed systems implementation etc.

About You
We require a Senior Exchange Administrator with five or more years of experience managing messaging systems with the ability to deploy and integrate messaging applications and provide ongoing support.
  • Strong understanding and experience with MS Exchange 2010 / 2013 / 2016 in an enterprise environment including backup and restore procedures;
  • Must be able to demonstrate experience supporting 3rd level messaging issues.
  • Demonstrated experience using Powershell for AD and Exchange.
  • Strong understanding of exchange policies, virtualisation, journaling, SMTP, and email routing.
  • ITIL Foundation Certification or experience working within an ITIL framework
  • Knowledge of TITUS configuration.
  • A sound knowledge of uplifting exchange environments
