ICT Support Officers required for building, installation and testing of all new End User Computing devices for a large project based in Perth.

This is a 5 month contract role involving the building and support of the new equipment as well as decommissioning of old equipment. 
Duties of the role- 
  • Building new machines in line with individual machine specifications specified in the Build and Deploy database (imaging computers).
  • Physical installation (including cable management) and de-installation of hardware.
  • Building of machines and installing applications via SCCM as well as manual installs.
  • Testing of hardware including power on, network connectivity and confirming applications have been deployed as required.
  • Provide first level support to end users during the transition period, including incident recording, resolution where possible and escalation.
  • Assist with the maintenance of the ICT configuration management database.
  • Contribute to and assist with the maintenance of service desk and client services procedures.
  • Resolve ICT related incidents and requests as required.
  • Respond to user complaints using conflict resolution techniques.
  • Assist in change management activities to assist end users.
  • Liaise with external service/software providers where applicable to ensure devices function properly.
  • Ensure rigorous testing and quality control procedures are applied such that all devices are end user ready.
  • Provide shift based heightened support as required.
Required skills/experience-
  • Experience in Installation, testing and maintaining hardware and software according to standard operating environment (SOE)
  • Experience in the deployment of new ICT hardware and software.
  • Experience in the configuration item database management for both hardware and software tracking.
  • Experience Providing desktop support across a variety of computing environments
  • Demonstrated advanced customer relationship management skills
  • Proven fault finding skills in ICT environments
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows and the ability to configure the Windows environment and software running within the Windows environment.
  • Proven effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as a member of a team.
