Our Client, a leading education provider, is seeking an experienced professional to lead their Projects & Programs team.

They are looking for someone who is passionate about lifelong learning and has prior experience providing management to a team of 15-20 project managers and support staff in a large complex environment. 

The role will enable you to provide a cultural and capability uplift to a team of dedicated professionals and provide service excellence across a broad array of interesting projects.
The essence of this role is to provide development and leadership across project and program management. The position will provide leadership to a team of approximately 20 project and program managers, analysts and administrators to enable the successful delivery of transformational, operational and technological change.

Your skills and experience:
  • Significant experience leading a team of project and program managers, analysts and administrators to deliver a diverse portfolio of initiatives in a large, complex organisation.
  • Demonstrated project or program planning, implementation and management at the enterprise level using formal project management tools and recognised project management methodologies.
  • Experience in working across organisational boundaries to achieve results via influence.
  • Demonstrated experience working with a senior management support level and demonstrated experience in liaising effectively with executives and senior staff from a range of work areas.
  • Substantial experience leading and managing large teams comprised of internal staff and external consultants and working with staff of all disciplines.
  • Strong facilitation experience and an ability to develop high performing, collaborative work teams.
  • Outstanding written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills including the ability to manage and prioritise competing tasks and demands, and the ability to be flexible as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently and to exercise judgement, discretion, confidentiality and initiative with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel on a regular basis.
